I was planning on waiting for Apple to officially release 2.0 update but I cracked. I'm downloading the new firmware from the link at macosrumors. I guess I'm impatient.

Let me correct myself. I got the link from Macrumors not macosrumors. First, let me say, WOW! I've been downloading free apps this morning for a total of 32 applications at this moment. Nothing in depth but I've been going through them all of them and deleting some with overlapping functions. What i've downloaded so far; Aim, AOL Radio (listen to radio on your iPhone/Touch), Facebook, Myspace, Yelp, Remote (controls iTunes remotely), Travelocity, Twitterrific, Motor Racer and Chopper to name a few. I won't list all what I have since some of their names are very generic, ie ''. Overall, no complaints. The app store layout is the familiar iTunes layout. I've had a couple crashes on certain apps but a turning on and off the phone cures it. Anything else you want to know?

Sounds like you're busy! The iTunes remote sounds great. I'm really excited about the TelNav GPS announcement.

Hopefully Netflix will release an app. The one from installer was great.

Thanks for the info!

Yeah, I have been busy, maybe to busy. Confessions of a fanboy. I read about Telenav GPS announcement but will it work with my 1st gen iPhone? Hmm..... no.. I won't get a 3G iPhone. Honestly, I was looking forward to the release of the app store than the 3G phone.

Ah I see. I'm really waiting for a Slingbox app. :)
